Pony and Trap purchase life saving device thanks to hog roast and pink pig racing
Alan presents Chaim with the new defibrillator
Alan and Maria White from the Pony and Trap pub raised £1000 to purchase the life saving equipment which will be based at the Hayridge Centre. The device was presented to Cullompton Town Council at the pub on Tuesday 16th February 2016.Last year the pub hosted a hog roast and pink pig racing and raised over £700 thanks to support from breweries, skittle teams and pub goers. Later in the year Alan raised an extra £300 to purchase the defibrillator. He said," It's a real old fashioned community pub so the locals and breweries have really got involved with this."
Deputy Mayor Councillor Chaim Ebanks added," I think it's a wonderful thing because sometimes in an area as big as Cullompton you can lose that community feel, but this is very much a community based pub and I think Alan and Maria should be praised for their initiative."
